New twist in the marriage drama of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez: The actor is said to have now bought his own villa in Los Angeles.
For weeks now, rumors of a crisis surrounding the marriage of Hollywood actor Ben Affleck (51) and singer Jennifer Lopez (55) have been escalating. The first suspicions that the relationship between the two stars could be about to end arose in May of this year, after the celebrity couple, known by their nickname “Bennifer,” had not been seen together for months.
Affleck is said to have cleared out his personal belongings from the Beverly Hills villa they previously shared while his wife was away and to have found a rental apartment in Brentwood, an exclusive district of Los Angeles, as a temporary home. A little later, it was announced that the couple had put the Beverly Hills property, which they only moved into in May 2023, up for sale.
Further evidence of a possible imminent separation came from the fact that Affleck and Lopez spent their second wedding anniversary on July 16th apart. Her husband was also apparently absent from Jennifer Lopez’s 55th birthday party on July 24th.
Luxury villa in Pacific Palisades for 20.5 million euros
As reported on July 27, Ben Affleck now appears to be making his previously improvised separation from his wife more permanent. According to the newspaper, the actor is close to completing the purchase of a house in the upscale Pacific Palisades neighborhood. According to the insider, Affleck’s new single residence will cost around $20.5 million (approx. €19 million) and will have five bedrooms and six bathrooms, as well as a study, a media room and a guest house.
It remains to be seen whether Ben Affleck’s real estate purchase also “seals the end of his marriage to Jennifer Lopez”, as “TMZ” predicts.
