Thomas Gottschalk shared a rare family photo on Instagram. It shows him surrounded by a group of children.
The former “Wetten, dass..?” presenter Thomas Gottschalk (74) has also been running an Instagram account for over a year. However, the 74-year-old is rather reserved when it comes to giving insights into his private life on the social network, mostly posting couple photos with his fiancée Karina Mroß. But Gottschalk now has over 100,000 followers.

The picture posted on July 29th shows him on a family outing, surrounded by a crowd of children. “Fairytale forest on the Dollenberg (Black Forest), the adults were on a hardcore hike, the fairytale uncle and the grandchildren and grandnephews were in fairyland,” Gottschalk wrote in the photo, which shows him in the forest with walking sticks. The post continues: “More offspring is on the way!” It remains unclear whether it is his sons Roman (41) or Tristan (35) or another family member who is expecting a baby.
The family photo received enthusiastic reactions from Gottschalk’s followers. “That’s really beautiful. Congratulations! Another great photo,” wrote one user. “Really cute,” commented another user.
Gottschalk had only announced his engagement to his partner Karina Mroß about a month ago. “Before I accidentally let it slip, or before the wrong people make it their business, I’ll announce it myself: Yes, I’m engaged!”
When he proposed, however, he forgot the ring in the hotel safe and quickly made a replacement out of candy wrappers. A photo of this ring as evidence. At the beginning of May this year, Gottschalk confirmed his divorce from his long-time wife Thea Gottschalk (78). The couple announced their separation some time ago in March 2019.
