Filming for the new season of “And Just Like That…” is currently in full swing. And it would of course be very unusual for a spin-off of the famous cult series “Sex and the City” if the main actresses around Sarah Jessica Parker (59) did not repeatedly provide great fashion moments. Most recently, Kristin Davis (59) aka Charlotte York was spotted filming the third season in New York. Her current look immediately makes die-hard fans think of a very specific scene from the fifth season of “Sex and the City”.
Kristin Davis revives this cult fashion moment
Davis appeared on film in a strapless black midi dress, which evokes memories of her iconic look from the fifth episode of “SATC” season five. In this episode, the gallery owner attends her friend Carrie Bradshaw’s book release party in a tight, off-the-shoulder little black dress. That figure-hugging dress now seems to have found its way back into the series – but in what context is still uncertain.
During filming on Tuesday (July 30), Davis wore the dress with slightly sheer black tights, black strappy pumps and a small shoulder bag from Chanel. She wore her brown hair down and shiny silver jewelry rounded off the look.
In the photos from the filming, you can also see her in this elegant outfit accidentally tripping over the legendary TV extra “Radio Man” (73) as she leaves a restaurant. The actor, who is known for over 300 cameo appearances in film and television, is pushing a fully loaded shopping cart in the photos, which also has a sign that reads “Will Work 4 Ozempic”. This is a diabetes medication.
“And Just Like That…” takes place eleven years after the events of the last “Sex and the City” film. Carrie Bradshaw (Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon, 58) and Charlotte York (Davis) have remained best friends and face the challenges of life in the 50s.
No reunion with Samantha Jones
Fans are hoping in vain for a reunion with Kim Catrall (67) as Samantha Jones. The actress recently clearly turned down an appearance in the series. On Sunday, July 21, she denied speculation that she would play her role Samantha Jones again. A fan had asked if she would be in the third season, whereupon she wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Oh, that’s so nice, but that’s not me.”
