British singer Charli XCX is currently releasing several remix versions from her album “Brat”. Now follows another version of a song featuring an American superstar.
British singer Charli XCX has teamed up with American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish for a new remix version of her song “Guess.” It is the first time that the two artists have worked together, the music label Warner explains in a statement.
“How do I come back after “Guess” with Billie?” Charli XCX raves in a post on the platform X. In June, the 32-year-old released her sixth studio album “Brat”. The album title and the associated aesthetics around the color neon green became an internet phenomenon. According to the singer, “brat” stands for a kind of attitude to life.
In the new interpretation of the song, Billie Eilish takes on a verse and harmonies. In the accompanying music video, underwear flies through the air at a wild house party to the line “You wanna guess the color of my underwear?” Then Billie Eilish crashes through the wall of the house with a shovel excavator. Without further ado, the musicians set off together on a foray through a city full of underwear.
Charli XCX became known in the early 2010s with hits like “Break the Rules” and “Boom Clap”. Last year, her song “Speed Drive” was on the soundtrack of the Barbie movie. “Guess” is not the only remix. Charli XCX recently released the track “The Girl, So Confusing” with Lorde, among others.
