Snoop Dogg once again made a sensational appearance at the Olympics. He appeared in riding gear for the team dressage final.
US rapper Snoop Dogg (52) is currently delighting Olympic fans in Paris. He is not only a special correspondent for the US broadcaster NBC, he also regularly appears in the audience at competitions and primarily supports “Team USA”. On Saturday (3 August) there was a visit to a sport to which Snoop Dogg has a very special connection.
The rapper did not miss the dressage team final. During his appearance at the Team Grand Prix in the stadium in front of the Palace of Versailles, he and TV chef and presenter Martha Stewart (83) appeared in a complete riding outfit to match the competition. Both wore a helmet, white trousers and a black competition jacket. Both also combined their competition look with sunglasses, and Snoop Dogg completed it with black riding gloves. The two are also said to have completed a lap around the grounds in a golf cart.
Stewart, who celebrates her 83rd birthday on August 3, was previously surprised by her long-time boyfriend Snoop Dogg on her special day, as shown. He presented her with a macaron cake along with the Cookie Monster from Sesame Street.
His connection to dressage
The fact that the two attended the dressage final on Saturday has a special background, at least for Snoop Dogg. He commented on the dressage at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo and, together with co-commentator Kevin Hart (45), caused a viral clip when he enthusiastically attributed a horse’s performance to the dance style “crip-walking”. “This horse is awesome, I have to put it in a video,” he explained.
Shortly before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, Snoop Dogg also received the torch with the Olympic flame in Paris this year. He was allowed to carry it a few meters to the applause of the fans. In a media round beforehand, Snoop Dogg emphasized how special the moment with the Olympic torch was for him. “I consider it a great honor. I never dreamed of something like this. I will show my best side,” he promised.
