The musician, who comes from the Romanian Transylvania, received the Star of Honor from the Federation of Transylvanian Saxons. The singer has been supporting traumatized children in Romania with the “Peter Maffay Foundation” since 2009.

Commitment in Romania

Maffay is not just attending the event as a spectator. On Sunday (4 August) the singer will be giving a concert at the festival. He announced his appearance via video message in German and Romanian, it is said. His son Yaris (20) will support him at his performance.
