Duchess Meghan is celebrating her 43rd birthday. The Duchess revealed a few years ago what will definitely be on the breakfast table.
Duchess Meghan is celebrating her 43rd birthday today, Sunday, with her family. As a short clip currently circulating on the X platform (formerly Twitter) shows, Meghan is not a fan of a traditional birthday cake.
Duchess Meghan is not a fan of sweets
“Since I don’t feel like eating sweets, I always eat French fries for breakfast with a little candle on my birthday,” she tells a chef in the video. The fries for breakfast have become a real tradition. Back in 2012, Meghan posted a photo of the fried potatoes on her now deactivated Instagram account and wrote “Birthday fries. Tradition.”
In addition to the rather unusual breakfast, Meghan has another birthday tradition that was introduced to her by her own mother. In 2016, shortly after she met Prince Harry, she wrote about it on her lifestyle blog “The Tig”. “My mother always said that birthdays are your own personal New Year. You have the chance to make resolutions, just for yourself and what you want to do for the coming year,” Meghan said at the time.

Birthday resolutions
In the same blog post, she revealed her own resolutions: “More surprises, more adventures, more opportunities to grow, more days filled with giggles and cheeky jokes, more delicious meals, and more inspiration. Always more inspiration.”
About five weeks before her birthday in 2016, Meghan and Harry met for their first date at Soho House in London. For their third date, they flew to Botswana together and saw each other as often as possible after that.
