Dieter Bohlen (70) used to be known for his changing and often turbulent love affairs. But since 2006 there has only been one woman at his side: Carina Walz (39). Now the musician and TV juror has recalled how they met.
14 red hearts for the anniversary
he published a couple photo on Monday morning (5 August) and wrote: “18 years ago today we met.” He added a few red hearts – not 18, but only 14. Bohlen’s former “DSDS” discovery and now good friend Pietro Lombardi (32) is also happy for the couple: He sent three red hearts.
Is the 18th anniversary of the day they met an opportunity to finally take the next step? In February, the pop titan revealed in an interview with the “Bild” newspaper that he wants to get married with his partner. “Carina and I are getting married,” he said. The date has been set “since the first day of our relationship.” He told her a specific year and “if we’re still together then, I’ll trust you and marry you.” He didn’t reveal exactly when that will happen, however. But the supposed date is already getting closer.
Carina Walz will soon have her 40th birthday
The two met in a club in Mallorca. At the time, he was 51 years old and she was only 21. Despite the 30-year age difference, they became a close-knit team. Their daughter Amelie was born in 2011, and their son Maximilian in 2013. This would be Bohlen’s third marriage. But there is still plenty to celebrate this year: after the Modern Talking icon celebrated her 70th birthday on February 7, Carina Walz’s 40th is coming up in August.
