On Monday (5 August), his mother published a reel in memory of her deceased son with many photos showing Emilio at different ages. Under the post, many prominent voices expressed their condolences to Simone Ballack for her loss. “I think of you and your dear family very often,” writes presenter Marlene Lufen (53), for example, while musician Eloy De Jong (51) left hearts in the comment and actress Simone Thomalla (59) commented: “I’m thinking of you.”

In an interview with the magazine “Gala” in April, Ballack spoke about how she was dealing with her grief. “I try to get as much positive out of it as possible for myself and my family every day, to keep trying new things,” explained the ex-wife of Michael Ballack (47). She has two other sons with him – Jordi (19) and Louis (22).

She added: “Under no circumstances should we stand still. Things must always move on.” In her opinion, constantly setting new tasks is “the best medicine against grief,” said Ballack. It is also important “not to let anyone tell you how to live,” explained the 48-year-old.
