Series of thefts in Los Angeles: Another break-in at Tom Hanks’ home

Tom Hanks (68) and his wife Rita Wilson (67) are the latest victims of a series of break-ins that have been causing unrest among prominent villa owners in Los Angeles for months. As the US gossip portal “” reports, the guest house on their property was broken into a few weeks ago. This is reported by insiders from US law enforcement circles.

The incident, in which the thieves are said to have gained entry by breaking a window, occurred in broad daylight. Even an alarm that was triggered could not deter the burglars. The main house on Hanks’ property was spared, however. The Hollywood couple were also not at home at the time of the break-in.

It is also still unclear whether anything was stolen at all. According to “TMZ”, there are currently many gangs active in the area around Los Angeles, which is causing the number of break-ins to skyrocket. So far, there have been no arrests in the case of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, and the police are still investigating.

Sarah Hyland and more: Famous burglary victims

In recent months, there have been repeated headlines about burglaries at the homes of stars living in Los Angeles. Most recently, “” reported at the beginning of August about a burglary at the home of “Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland (33). She apparently had to watch helplessly as two masked burglars gained access to her house. She was not at home at the time, but witnessed the situation live on her security cameras. These burglars have also allegedly not been caught so far.

Two thieves are also said to have broken into the house of “Scary Movie” star Marlon Wayans (52) at the beginning of July. Here too, they broke into the building through a broken window – but in the middle of the night at half past two in the morning. Wayans himself was not at home, but his brother was, who was woken up by a noise in the night but thought nothing of it. In the morning, according to “”, it turned out that the thieves had stolen a safe and several thousand dollars.

Another break-in is said to have taken place in mid-July at the home of US rapper Bhad Bhabie (21). The back door of her house was broken into – according to “”, the thieves took items such as handbags and jewelry. She had only recently announced that she had already earned 57 million dollars through her account on the erotic platform OnlyFans.

Goldie Hawn no longer feels safe in Los Angeles

In June, Hollywood star Goldie Hawn (78) also said that she and her partner Kurt Russell (73) no longer felt safe on their property in Los Angeles. She told Kelly Ripa (53) this in her podcast “In 2020, her house was broken into twice. Since then, she has hired a 24/7 security service to ensure that she and her family are safe. “I’m never without a guard … especially when I’m alone,” she told Ripa.

Additionally, Hawn and Russell now live 131 miles outside of Los Angeles in Palm Desert, California. On the podcast, she gushed that they finally feel “safe” there after years of dealing with “terrible” Los Angeles.
