Luis Ventura spoke and revealed details about the clandestine relationship between Diego Maradona and the model Cris Miró.
During a recent broadcast of his program A la tarde, Ventura shared his personal experience with Miró, describing her as a person “with a different mind” and highlighting that, despite her height, she “surpassed him.”
Ventura said that Cris Miró was Maradona’s favourite, a fact that many have tried to deny.
“Diego Maradona gave her a diamond bracelet, which she sold to pay for her treatment. He sent it to her through a person, he was madly in love with her“, revealed the journalist, making clear the deep bond that existed between the two.
What were the meetings between Diego Maradona and Cris Miró like according to Luis Ventura?
According to Ventura’s testimony, the meetings between Maradona and Miró took place in discreet places.
“They would meet at the Nogaró Hotel, which was where Boca held meetings, but when they had meetings that were not supposed to be known, they would go to the apartment of a very famous entertainment figure,” he said.
Ventura concluded his story by stating that “They ended up inventing a romance for Diego with another personality, but the reality was different”.
“And she was with a very famous football agent in the 90s, because they thought that this man had given her the bracelet, and in reality Maradona had sent it to her, so that he wouldn’t be in the picture. And she used that to pay for her illness,” said Alicia Pedrelli.
Cris Miró died on June 1, 1999, victim of lymphatic cancer.
