It is not known exactly what is wrong with her. But Anastacia (55) is apparently so ill that she cannot be on stage. The singer has also canceled two concerts in Spain – on August 6th in Mallorca and on August 8th in Roses, Catalonia.
“I am so sorry”
In her Instagram story on August 5, the singer posted a statement: “With regret and on doctor’s orders,” she was unable to perform. “You can get a refund for your ticket for both shows. I am so sorry. I was so looking forward to these shows, but I was advised to rest and recover.”
On Sunday evening, she had to cancel a performance at the Zelt-Musik-Festival in Freiburg at short notice. Just an hour before the start, the organizers announced: “Due to an acute illness, Anastacia is unable to perform. Therefore, the concert has to be canceled at short notice.” In contrast to the Spanish concerts, however, the tickets will remain valid and a new date will be found.
Anastacia also made a statement on her Instagram profile on Sunday evening and told her fans that she was “so sorry” about the cancellation: “The doctors advised me not to perform. I was so looking forward to the performance and hope that I can come back soon.”
Can she perform in Denmark?
The 55-year-old, who has already survived two bouts of cancer, will next perform in Denmark between August 10 and 24. It remains to be seen whether she will be fit again by then.
