Josh Hartnett (46) found his true love in the British actress Tamsin Egerton (35) on the set of a proverbial horror film. The actor couple met while filming a bad film in “the most Hollywood way imaginable”. Hartnett revealed this
“In the worst film we’ve ever made”
“We played husband and wife in the worst movie we’ve ever made,” Hartnett said of their first meeting. “No offense to the director, he remains anonymous,” added the “Pearl Harbor” star. However, the film never made it to the big screen.
After meeting and being attracted to each other, both left their relationships. “We were filming here in London and we both had steady partners, and we both realized that it wasn’t going to work because we really liked each other,” explained Hartnett. According to the “Oppenheimer” actor, they started dating after filming finished.
Long-distance relationship at the beginning
Since he was living in New York and Egerton was living in London at the time, they spent time together on vacation. “Then she came to the US and we went on a long road trip where she met my parents and it went on like that,” Hartnett said of their love story. “We lived between two houses most of the time – and then she got pregnant and we got married,” he summed up.
Hartnett and Egerton tied the knot in November 2021. At that time, the couple already had three children, born in 2015, 2017 and 2019. This year, the “Trap” star revealed at the Screen Actors Guild Awards that he is a father of four. The gender of his first child is only known: his eldest offspring is a girl.
