Adele: How she made it from London clubs to the biggest stages in the world

The exceptional artist Adele is currently playing a total of ten concerts in the Bavarian capital. A pop-up stage was set up on the city’s exhibition grounds specifically for this purpose. “A few months ago I got a call about a summer show series. I was completely happy with my shows in London’s Hyde Park and my stay in Las Vegas, so I had no other plans,” the multiple Grammy winner recently said on Instagram. The concept ultimately convinced her. “A one-off, tailor-made pop-up stadium designed around the show I want to host? Ohh!? Pretty much in the middle of Europe? In Munich? That’s a bit arbitrary, but still fabulous!” she wrote.

Although she is now one of the biggest global stars of our time, Adele’s career did not begin directly on the big stage but in the London club scene. The now 35-year-old’s breakthrough came with her debut album “19”, which she wrote when she was 19 and on which she dealt with a failed relationship. This was followed by the hit records “21” (also about a broken love affair), “25” and most recently “30”.
