The Hollywood dream couple Blake Lively (36) and Ryan Reynolds (47) are currently making the US box office ring: Reynolds with his film “Deadpool & Wolverine”, his wife with “It Ends With Us” (German title: “Just One More Time”). The two films are at number one and two in the US box office charts.
After the premiere of “It Ends With Us” on August 9, it has already grossed 50 million US dollars. This puts it behind “Deadpool & Wolverine”, which brought in 54 million dollars this weekend and around 494.3 million dollars in the USA since its theatrical release at the end of July. It has been 34 years since films by a married couple dominated the charts in this way.
Bruce Willis and Demi Moore also celebrated double success
In 1990, “Die Hard 2” with Bruce Willis (69) and “Ghost – Message from Sam” with Demi Moore (61) landed at the top. The action film premiered on July 3rd, the fantasy thriller comedy followed around two weeks later. Overall, “Ghost”, which also won two Oscars, was the second most successful film at the US box office in 1990 with 217.6 million dollars, while “Die Hard 2” landed in eighth place with 117.5 million dollars.
