What Kit Harington said about the end of Game of Thrones
Harington has been quite honest about the difficulty he and the rest of the crew faced during the final season of the series. In a recent interview with GQ, he mentioned that when looking at photos of himself at that stage, he looked exhausted and lacking the energy to continue with another season. This collective fatigue, according to the actor, influenced the quality of the narrative, resulting in decisions that were not entirely correct. While acknowledging that the ending could have been better, he also indicated that he saw no other alternative given the state of everyone involved.
“I think if there was any flaw in the ending of Game of Thrones, it’s that We were all so tired that we couldn’t go on any longer.I understand that some people thought it was rushed and perhaps I agree with them. But I’m not sure there was any other alternative. I look at pictures of myself in that final season and I look exhausted. I look drained. I didn’t have another season ahead of me,” he explained during the interview.
“Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think there were mistakes made, story-wise, maybe towards the end. I think there were some interesting decisions that didn’t quite work out,” he added.
