Royals: Prince Harry must look for new chief of staff

Harry’s top assistant had only been in office for three months. Now they are parting ways again.

Just a few days before a working visit to Colombia, Prince Harry is looking for a new chief of staff. The current incumbent, Josh Kettler, has agreed to terminate his contract with the son of King Charles III after just three months, reported the British news agency PA.

The reason given was that everyone agreed that Kettler was not the right choice. Apparently he was still on probation. Kettler had accompanied Harry to the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games in London, among other places. The prince had founded the sports competition for soldiers injured in the war.

Now the fifth in line to the British throne must once again look for a new top assistant. “Harry and Meghan have earned a reputation for being unable to retain staff while they push ahead with their charity and production projects in the US,” PA wrote.

Invitation from Colombia

Harry, 39, and his wife Duchess Meghan (43) will soon travel to Colombia at the invitation of Vice President Francia Marquez. The program includes the capital Bogota and the regions around Cartagena and Cali. According to Marquez, the focus is on protecting young people. Meghan and Harry have long been open about the threat that the Internet poses to minors.

It is the couple’s second official trip abroad this year. In May, Meghan and Harry visited Nigeria in West Africa. Since they gave up their royal duties in 2020, the two have no longer traveled on behalf of the crown or the British government. The Foreign Office in London warns against unnecessary travel to Colombia. The risk of kidnapping is high.
