The Austrian building contractor Richard Lugner, who became known for his appearances alongside Hollywood stars at the Vienna Opera Ball, has died. This was confirmed to the German Press Agency by family circles.
In June, Lugner married his wife Simone Reiländer, whom he nicknamed “Bienchen”. It was a tradition that the women at Lugner’s side were given animal nicknames, but it only started with marriage number four. His then wife, Christina Haidinger, was given the name “Mausi”. “Mausi” Lugner later enjoyed success in the RTL jungle camp. After separating from “Mausi”, Bettina “Hasi” Kofler entered Lugner’s life. In 2009, Nina “Bambi” Bruckner was at the building contractor’s side for a while.
The property developer became famous, among other things, for his appearances at the Vienna Opera Ball, to which he usually invited illustrious guests. Kim Kardashian accompanied Lugner there, as did Joan Collins, Andie MacDowell, Sophia Loren, Pamela Anderson and Paris Hilton.
