Container show: Former national player Max Kruse joins “Big Brother”

Max Kruse was often ruthless and cool in front of the gate. Will he remain that way even though he is constantly monitored and crammed into a container? Sat.1 introduces the first residents of “Celebrity Big Brother”.

Former national soccer player and Bundesliga professional Max Kruse is moving into the “Celebrity Big Brother” container. The 36-year-old announced this at a Sat.1 press event – the station will be broadcasting the format again from October 7th together with Joyn. “I love drama. So I’m definitely looking forward to it,” explained Kruse, who played for Gladbach, Wolfsburg and Bremen, among others, during his career. Recently, however, the footballer has made headlines with verbal arguments with his former coaches – including former national coach Joachim Löw.

“I don’t feel like washing anything or anything like that”

A little trouble now seems inevitable in the “Celebrity Big Brother” container too. “I think I’ll also cause trouble because I’m really lazy. I really don’t feel like washing anything and stuff. So that’s just not my thing,” announced Kruse. “But who knows? Maybe I’ll become a househusband. But probably not.” The format is already well known in the Kruse family. Kruse’s wife, the influencer Dilara Kruse, took part in “Celebrity Big Brother” in 2023.

Sat.1 also introduced two more candidates for the new season. Firstly, reality star Mike Heiter (32) will move into the container, which is constantly monitored by cameras and is once again located in Cologne. At the beginning of the year, Heiter was seen on the competition, the RTL jungle camp, where he caused drama with a bumpy flirtation with his colleague Leyla Lahouar. Now “Celebrity Big Brother” is following. “Anyone who wants to call themselves a reality star has to be on “Big Brother,” he explained.

Mimi Fiedler enters new territory

Then there is the former “Tatort” actress Mimi Fiedler (48), for whom this will be the first real reality format. She hinted that she might be able to compensate for Max Kruse’s reluctance to do certain household chores. Cleaning and tidying up is “like yoga” for her, she said. “I like doing it, the main thing is that I’m not disturbed while doing it,” said the actress. She also plans to redecorate the container every day.

Sat.1 will announce further participants in the reality show in due course. Marlene Lufen and Jochen Schropp will once again be the presenting duo. Fans can also watch a 24-hour live stream from the container. Last year, reality star Yeliz Koc won the show.
