From now on, there is also a wax figure of pop star Taylor Swift in the Hamburg Panoptikum. The likeness of the singer shows a heart pose.
All Swifties who have always wanted to take a selfie with music superstar Taylor Swift (34) have the chance to do so starting today, August 13th. In Hamburg’s Panoptikum, the oldest wax museum in Germany, fans can find the spitting image of the 34-year-old singer. The wax figure was unveiled on Tuesday and is wearing a bluish, glittering sequin jumpsuit and shiny silver high boots. Swift wore this look at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in March 2019 in Los Angeles.
Taylor Swift’s wax figure unveiled on special date
Since December 2023, and thus for around eight months, the Berlin artist Lisa Büscher has been working on the wax figure of Swift. Since the singer herself did not sit as a model, Büscher studied photos from the past ten years. “Achieving the perfect likeness is challenging, especially with a wrinkle-free, flawless beauty,” said the artist in a press release from the Panoptikum. “The lifelike design of her hands with the typical heart pose was also technically appealing – arranging limbs and body is particularly time-consuming.”
The Hamburg Panoptikum is home to numerous celebrities from the world of music – such as Adele (36), Ed Sheeran (33) or the Hamburg original Udo Lindenberg (78). Other famous people from current events and human history such as climate activist Greta Thunberg (21), Hollywood star Angelina Jolie (49) or physics genius Albert Einstein (1879-1955) can also be found here. It was no coincidence that Swift’s likeness was unveiled on August 13, as the number 13 is considered the American’s favorite.
