Topless on vacation?: Heidi Klum thinks it’s “no big deal”

Heidi Klum (51) spent the past few weeks with her husband Tom Kaulitz (34) on the Caribbean dream island of St. Barth. She let her fans share in the romantic vacation with regular snapshots. These included numerous pictures and clips in a skimpy bikini or . When asked about the revealing pictures, she explained to “Fox News Digital” before a live show of the US casting show “America’s Got Talent”: “Although I’m American, I’m also very European. I grew up with a lot of nudity, on the beach, for me it’s no big deal.”

She further stresses: “It’s not that I’m doing anything that’s inappropriate. I always go to a beach when there aren’t many people there. I feel like I’m not hurting anyone’s feelings.” She also said that she had been to a French island, “and if you look around there, most women are topless, so it’s a completely normal thing.”

“I feel very comfortable naked”

In a new interview with “Style Watch”, the fashion magazine of the US magazine “People”, in September 2023, Klum had already emphasized that she is very happy with her body. “I feel very comfortable naked today.” Preferably topless in the garden. “I just don’t like tan lines because I wear so many different outfits. I don’t want to see any tan lines anywhere. That’s very strategic.”

However, Klum also explained to the British “Daily Mail” during the “America’s Got Talent” event that her nude vacations have also been met with incomprehension: “I have definitely been to America and to resorts where I have taken my top off – that was many, many years ago – and people have literally come up to me and said: ‘Ma’am, some of the people here are complaining, would you please put your top back on?’ And I said: ‘There is no one here. Who is complaining?’ I guess someone must have been looking out the window.” But of course she puts her top back on if asked.

The couple also spent their fifth wedding anniversary in early August in the paradisiacal setting, as Klum revealed to “Fox News Digital”. “We had a great dinner, we had a great day,” says Klum. “Being on vacation is just so nice. When the water is fantastic, the sun is shining and you are with your loved one.”

Love offer on the beach

Her husband told another funny anecdote from the vacation. “We were on a huge beach on a windy day. There were maybe 20 people there, spread out over many meters,” says the musician. “At some point, Heidi and I saw a guy doing strange exercises on the beach. It was a mix of Taekwondo or Jiu-Jitsu. A kind of dance martial art. He wanted to show himself and perform something, like a love dance.”

The three kept catching each other’s eye and the man then approached. During the conversation he asked the two if they were a swinger couple and wanted to invite them to a threesome. The section of the beach is known in the scene for meetings there. Tom Kaulitz then declined and explained that the looks were only for his martial arts and were not meant to be a clear signal.
