The first episode of the summer jungle camp will be shown from August 15th. From August 16th, RTL will also be showing “I’m a Celebrity – Showdown of the Jungle Legends” every day at prime time. For the first time, there will be no new candidates vying for victory, but rather experienced jungle campers. The field of candidates also includes some stars who have a lot of experience in the notorious jungle tests, including the record holder.
Sarah Knappik
Former “GNTM” candidate Sarah Knappik (37) was part of the fifth season of “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!” and made a media-effective appearance. For example, she refused to take the jungle test “Out of the Hollows” and abandoned the test “Through the Wall”. She is therefore considered the only “test refuser” to take part in the summer jungle camp. In total, she had to take part six times in her season. After arguments with her fellow campers, who suggested she leave, she left the camp more or less voluntarily.
Georgina Fleur
Former “Bachelor” candidate and influencer Georgina Fleur (34) also apparently polarized viewers, as she was also sent to a test several times in season seven. She dropped out of the jungle test “Jungle Sewer”. With a total of seven tests, she is one of the most completed tests since the format began. In the end, she finished sixth in the season.
Elena Miras and Gigi Birofio
TV Casanova Gigi Birofio (25) was also challenged. It paid off for him that he completed seven more tests in addition to the jungle camp challenge of skydiving. In the 16th season, he was voted jungle prince in 2023 with second place.
Reality star Elena Miras (32) took part in the 14th season in 2020 and had to fight her way through a total of seven tests, ultimately finishing in sixth place. The audience preferred to send her into the tests with a fellow camper….
Danni Buechner
TV emigrant Danni Büchner (46) formed a duo with Miras for five tests. In total, she had to complete twelve tests. She dropped out of the “Ge-Fahrstuhl” jungle test. She ended up in third place. In the legends jungle camp, she is now looking forward to “taking the second chance and showing how I have developed,” she says in an RTL interview. “I think that a completely different Danni will now be in the legends camp, who will show what she is really like. […] I have more positivity in me, more courage, more will and more strength.”
By the way: Büchner is the record holder among the examinees. Model and actress Larissa Marolt (32) has had to complete the second most challenges so far. In 2014, she took part in ten tasks. Gisele Oppermann (36) had to complete nine tests in 2019, as did Helena Fürst in 2016. This year, Twenty4Tim (23) had to take the test eight times.
