What is The Machine about?
After a devastating loss, Esteban “La Máquina” Osuna (Garcia Bernal) is in a rough patch in his boxing career. Luckily for him, his manager and best friend Andy Lujan (Luna) is determined to help him regain his former glory. But when an evil organization appears on the scene, the rematch turns to the death. As he fights to regain his career, Esteban must simultaneously deal with his own personal demons and protect his family, which includes his ex-wife Irasema (Gonzalez), a journalist who is on the verge of colliding with the dark side of the boxing world.

La Máquina is a production of Searchlight Television and Gael García Bernal (Y tu mamá también, COCO) and La Corriente del Golfo, Diego Luna’s label (Y tu mamá también, Pan y Circo, Andor), and will be broadcast via streaming on Disney’s direct-to-consumer platforms, through Disney+ in Latin America.
Marco Ramírez (Daredevil) serves as executive producer and showrunner for the series, with García Bernal, Luna, Gerardo Gatica, Leandro Halperín, Adam Fishbach and Kyzza Terrazas serving as executive producers. Gabriel Ripstein (600 Miles, A Strange Enemy) serves as series director.
