Elizabeth Debicki played the late Queen of Hearts in two seasons of the hit series “The Crown.” She did it so thoroughly that she had trouble being herself again.
One of the actresses who played Diana in the Netflix series “The Crown”, Elizabeth Debicki, unintentionally imitated the former Princess of Wales’ behavior long after filming ended. The 33-year-old Australian told the US magazine “People”.
Debicki played the late ex-wife of King Charles III in seasons five and six of the hit series. She was awarded a Golden Globe for her role.
“My voice has changed quite a bit, and I had to consciously work on bringing it back to my own voice, to the sound that matches my voice, and also to my own dialect,” she told the magazine.
This also included a lot of physical expressions, such as tilting her head, Debicki continued. She has since given up the Diana behavior, but it took a conscious decision to do so.
Debicki is nominated for an Emmy Award alongside several other actresses from the series. “This feels like the icing on the cake,” said the Australian.
