“Hello, friends. Unfortunately, I have to give you some news that I never wanted to give. At 84 years old, with all the desire to continue, I have developed an illness that does not allow me to sing, play or continue with the band.“, he began by saying.
He then took the opportunity to thank all the friends and fans who supported him for so many years. “I really thank them with all my heart, but I can no longer continue,” he lamented.
After clarifying that he will comply with the commitments already made, announced his retirement on August 24 with an event in San Miguel. “It is not good news that I want to give you. My band is going to fulfill the date of San Miguel, there is a commitment made and that will be the last performance,” he said. “A thousand apologies, but life has these things and never tells you,” he said, hurt.
He also clarified that he will appear at two more events, but that he will not perform. “There are two places that I have to go no matter what. Although I will not play, I will be sitting there on stage, which are San Juan and Mendoza. They will give me an award that I believe I deserve,” he said.
