Matthew Perry: Assistant allegedly injected him with ketamine 20 times in four days

Matthew Perry died in October and the investigation into his death is still ongoing. Now doctors and his assistant are being targeted – they are said to have given him numerous ketamine injections.

He had to struggle with his drug problem again and again in his life, and it ultimately cost actor Matthew Perry his life in October 2023. His assistant, who had found Perry dead in his hot tub in Los Angeles, had immediately called the emergency services, but any help came too late. This assistant was arrested on Thursday along with four other people.

After months of investigations into the death of Matthew Perry, the Los Angeles police and prosecutors made serious allegations against the five suspects. They said they were involved in a “widespread, criminal underground network that is responsible for distributing large quantities of ketamine to Mr. Perry and others.” During the actor’s autopsy, enormous quantities of ketamine were found in his blood. The drug is an anesthetic with antidepressant effects that has been used for decades and is also used as an illegal party drug.

The autopsy report, which the British magazine “Daily Mail” reportedly saw, stated that the ketamine levels in Perry’s peripheral blood were 3,540 ng/ml and in his central blood 3,271 ng/ml. A dose that could put someone under general anesthesia. The amounts of ketamine required are between 1,000 and 6,000 ng/ml, according to the coroner. So where did the horrendous amount of ketamine come from?

Doctor made fun of Matthew Perry’s addiction via text message

Investigators spent months looking into this question. The Californian court documents now show that two doctors, a woman known as the “ketamine queen,” another alleged dealer, and Matthew Perry’s assistant are the focus of the investigation. They are all said to have supplied the former “Friends” actor with the drug, despite knowing about his past addiction. This is what the indictment says, according to the British news portal “Telegraph.”

Aside from the suspicion that a network of drug suppliers appears to be behind Perry’s drug use, at least his assistant was also actively involved in administering the drug. He is said to have injected the star with ketamine intravenously 20 times in the four days before his death. Good for the drug suppliers’ business. According to the prosecution, a doctor even sent a text message saying: “I wonder how much this idiot is going to pay for the drugs.”
