Eugene Levy and Dan Levy will be the presenters of the 76th Emmy Awards on Sept. 15. The Levys, who in 2020 became the first father-son duo to win Emmys in the same year, will now be the first father-son team to host the awards show.
Eugene and Dan Levy reflected on their Emmy wins for Schitt’s Creekwhose final season set a record for a comedy series with the most wins in a single year, nine, at the 2020 Emmy Awards.
“For two Canadians who won our Emmys in a literal quarantine tent, the idea of being asked to host this year in an actual theatre was incentive enough,” they said. “We’re thrilled to be able to toast this extraordinary season of television and can’t wait to spend the evening with you all on September 15.”

Eugene Levy and Dan Levy have had memorable performances presenting together at award shows, most notably at the SAG Awards 2020where they began the ceremony with an opening monologue before presenting the first and last awards of the night.

In 2020, both Levys earned Emmy nominations, for lead actor (Eugene) and supporting actor (Dan), and both also shared the win in the best comedy series category for Schitt’s Creek. Additionally, Dan Levy won for writing (solo) and directing (shared), bringing his haul to a record four Emmys.
