Pizza can be made with various ingredients on top: fugazzeta with onion, napolitana with tomato, four cheeses, arugula and ham. The options are varied and one richer than the other. In this recipe you will be taught how to make a pizza traditional.

This is how the best homemade pizza is made

Ingredients

  • 500 grams of 000 flour
  • 5 grams of dry yeast or 15 grams of fresh yeast
  • 350 cubic centimeters of water
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • ½ cup tomato sauce for pizza
  • 300 grams of cream cheese or mozzarella

Procedure

  1. Mix the dry yeast with a little warm water and 1 tablespoon of flour.
  2. Set aside for 5 minutes to allow it to ferment and foam.
  3. On a clean work surface, spread the flour and make a hole in the center to add the rest of the water, oil and fermented yeast. If you want to add salt, do so outside the circle of flour.
  4. Mix from the center outwards and knead for about 5 minutes until you obtain a smooth dough.
  5. Place the dough in a large container, cover with plastic wrap and a towel, and let it rest for about 40 to 60 minutes.
  6. After a while, the dough should have doubled in volume. Stretch the dough from the center outwards to create a rounded pizza shape.
  7. Place in a greased, high-sided baking dish.
  8. Set the dough aside until it rises again for about 20 minutes.
  9. Paint with the sauce and cook in the oven preheated to 200-220 ºC for about 15 minutes.
  10. Add the cheese and return to the oven for about 5 more minutes or until completely melted.
  11. Optionally, you can decorate with oregano or dried basil and add olives.
