Green Party leader Ricarda Lang has married her partner Florian Wilsch. The couple tied the knot in Berlin on Saturday, as reported by Bild. This also corresponded to information from the news agency DPA. Lang (30) made her engagement to Wilsch public in March 2023.
According to the “Bild” newspaper, the Green Party leader and the mathematician and former spokesman for the Green Youth Bavaria celebrated “surrounded by friends, family and colleagues”. The couple got married in a location near the Spree that can accommodate up to 150 guests.
“It will not be a public spectacle, and we will not get married on Sylt,” Lang told “Gala” in 2023, alluding to the wedding of Federal Finance Minister Christian Lindner (FDP).

She could also imagine starting a family, Lang told the “Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung” (NOZ) a few months ago. “And the idea is actually a driving force for me. For me, perhaps having children myself one day goes hand in hand with the responsibility of saying: I want to contribute to a world in which my children can grow up well.”
The two have been a couple for a long time and were in a long-distance relationship. In 2023, Lang told the magazine “Bunte” that she often travels to see him in Hanover by train. “If I don’t have a seat, I sometimes sit on the floor in the aisle. But these travel rigors are worth it to me.”

Despite important political appointments, one should not forget one’s private happiness, Lang said at the time. “That is the basis.” When asked whether a wedding was old-fashioned these days, she replied: “I don’t think so. For me, a wedding is a sign that we want to stay together and faithful to each other. We will start a family at some point. I like to be traditional in that regard.”
