Taylor Swift: Admiring words for Post Malone

Taylor Swift expressed her admiration for Post Malone via Instagram. However, they did not appear together.

Taylor Swift (34) and Post Malone (29) have released one of the most successful songs of the year so far with their song “Fortnight”. The single not only debuted at the top of the Billboard Global 200, but also set a streaming record on Spotify just one day after its release. At the MTV Video Music Awards, “Fortnight” is in the running for a trophy with eight nominations. Swift had nothing but praise for her colleague.

On August 17, she shared the link to the new Post Malone album “F-1 Trillion” on her account. She also revealed that her brother Austin Swift (32) played her music from the record for the first time when they were filming the music video for “Fortnight”. “I was lucky enough to hear this amazing music on the set of the ‘Fortnight’ video when Austin played it for me. It’s incredible how diverse his artistic work is,” the singer wrote alongside a photo of them with Post Malone. The rapper is also “simply the most down-to-earth guy in the world.”

No joint appearance in London

Taylor Swift posted the post just before the Saturday night show of her “The Eras Tour” at London’s Wembley Stadium. This led fans to assume that Post Malone would support her in the performance of “Fortnight.” Another clue was the symbol of a typewriter on the poster with the tour dates in London: a machine of the same kind appears in Swift and Malone’s joint music video.

The pop star is known for sending hidden messages to her fans. This time, however, they were wrong, because Swift – who had brought Ed Sheeran (33) on stage as a surprise guest the day before – performed the song alone.

And another assumption turned out to be untrue at the concert: Swifties had speculated because of a new bodysuit that Taylor Swift might announce her newly recorded album “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” at the show. Such an announcement also failed to materialize.
