Things are getting personal in the jungle camp of the RTL “Legends”. In addition to sad confessions, there is also loud anger around the campfire. Can the ensemble reconcile?
After the arrival of replacement Elena Miras, the participants in the RTL jungle camp have to find their way back together. In the fourth episode of the special season “Showdown of the Jungle Legends” released on Sunday, the reality star caused discussions again.
The 32-year-old suggested reorganizing the unpopular night watch at the campfire and clashed with team leader Hanka Rackwitz about it. The 55-year-old recommended that Miras “have a certain amount of humility when you join a new group.” Miras, on the other hand, clarified: “Nobody is my boss here.”
Arguments about cooking and personal confessions
Power struggles also took place between other participants in the episode broadcast on the streaming service RTL+. Daniela “Danni” Büchner and Giulia Siegel argued about the cooking duty (Danni: “Do you have problems or what is your problem?”).
While most of the campers put up with it, reality veteran Kader Loth got involved in the debate. This, in turn, displeased Siegel very much. “Kader, don’t waste your airtime on me,” she hissed at her opponent.
Aside from the scuffles, the “legends” grew emotionally closer on day four. Former footballer Thorsten Legat told his visibly shaken fellow campers that he hasn’t drunk alcohol since a drunken argument in which he seriously injured a man in self-defense against several attackers.
And Miras spoke to Gigi Birofio about her depression. In addition to therapy, her daughter gave her strength. “When I looked at her, I knew: I have to keep fighting,” she said.
Jungle test in the disgusting supermarket
This time Miras was also allowed to choose the participant in the jungle test on his own and decided on his friend Gigi. In the “Aunt Dilemma Shop” the 25-year-old had to count cockroaches, mealworms and small crocodiles, among other things. The challenges he faced were not so much the living goods but rather the shopping list (“21 maggots? What is a maggot?”). The reward for his efforts: nine stars for the camp.
The new “I’m a Celebrity” season is a special edition for the 20th anniversary of the show, which was first broadcast in 2004. It is a kind of reunion of former cast members: the “legends”, as RTL calls them, have already sat around the fire in previous seasons.
