Adele lived in Munich for a month. Some people said they spotted her there while she was walking. But there was something wrong with the woman’s demeanor.
Last weekend, some people in downtown Bavaria almost had their hearts stopped when singer Adele strolled past them, apparently surrounded by bodyguards.
Numerous TikTok videos with the titles “In Munich accidentally bumped into Adele” or “Adele spotted in Munich” appeared and showed a woman in a black sheath dress, walking in high heels and her face half-covered by an opulent, large hat. A certain resemblance to Adele is unmistakable.
After the posts appeared, staunch Adele fans immediately went into research mode and determined that the woman who claimed to be the singer in Munich’s pedestrian zone could not be the real Adele. They noted that the artist would never walk around in such a “dressed-up” way in private, but would rather be seen in sneakers, a jogging suit and a cap on her head.
Adele fans analyzed that it must be a doppelganger
The social media detectives also found the timing of Adele’s stroll through town strange. The 36-year-old had announced at her last appearance on stage that she wanted to fly back home for a few days. From August 2nd to August 31st, Adele will play ten concerts in Munich in an arena built especially for her that holds around 75,000 people. She gave her last concert last Friday and her next one will take place on August 23rd. So she has a week off to fly to her loved ones.
The fake Adele is said to have been the German presenter Barbara Schöneberger, at least Adele fans are sure of that. The newspaper “tz” claims to have learned that the entertainer who is probably filming a new episode for the ARD show “Verstehen Sie Spaß?” is actually hiding under the big brim.
