FKA Twigs is a master of extravagance. The leading actress of “The Crow” proved this at the premiere in New York.
Artist FKA Twigs (36) likes to cause a stir with her appearance. Her outfit for the premiere of “The Crow” in New York was no exception. On the red carpet, she attracted attention primarily with her daring headdress. Her hairstyle turned her otherwise simple dress into a real eye-catcher.
The 36-year-old, who plays the lead role of Shelly Webster in the remake of “The Crow” alongside Bill Skarsgård (33), wore a black, tight-fitting satin dress with narrow halter straps in New York. FKA Twigs accessorized with a simple brown leather bracelet and a black leather clutch.
The singer has been wearing her hair halfway down in a radical buzz cut for months, while keeping her long black mane at the back of her head. She adorned this extravagant hairstyle for the “The Crow” premiere with a hair accessory consisting of three forward-pointed tips. Her remaining hair fell over the back of her head, straightened and down her back. Her face was accentuated with shimmering gold make-up accents.
This is what makes the film “The Crow” special
“The Crow” opens in US cinemas on Friday. The remake follows 30 years after the 1994 film, in which Brandon Lee, who died in a tragic accident, played the main role. He died on the set of the film in 1993 during filming at the age of just 28. He was hit by a real bullet from an incorrectly prepared gun. The films are based on the graphic novel of the same name by James O’Barr (64) from 1989.
In the film, Twigs and Skarsgård play Shelly Webster and Eric Daven, soulmates who are “brutally murdered when the demons of their dark past catch up with them,” according to the film’s official synopsis. “When the chance to save his true love through self-sacrifice presents itself, Eric sets out to take merciless revenge on the killers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to right what was wrong.” The film will be in cinemas in Germany from September 12th.
