Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck: Troubled marriage already on honeymoon?

After breaking off their engagement almost 20 years ago, Jennifer Lopez (55) and Ben Affleck (52) finally got married in the summer of 2022. However, the love of the former Hollywood dream couple was not to last. As reported, Lopez filed for divorce on August 20. She stated that the date of separation would be April 26, 2024. As an anonymous source now suggests, the couple apparently had their first problems during their honeymoon.

Lopez and Affleck were married in Las Vegas in July 2022, followed by a large and more traditional wedding ceremony in Georgia in August of the same year. They then went on their honeymoon to Lake Como in Italy, as paparazzi photos published at the time showed. This apparently put the Hollywood star in a bad mood. The actor was “unhappy that paparazzi were following them”. He acted as if it was a surprise to him that the couple was being followed by photographers – even though she is an international superstar and he has also been one of the most famous faces in Hollywood for many years.

When the two were not being watched by cameras, “they barely spoke to each other during what should have been the happiest time of their lives,” claims the anonymous source. He “made her believe he was a different person, and that didn’t last long.” After the stormy love comeback, Affleck began to long for more privacy, claims another source. He had problems with his wife’s high level of fame.

Affleck and Lopez originally met in the early 2000s. They became one of Hollywood’s dream couples and were given the nickname “Bennifer”. However, the media hype, among other things, is said to have caused them to break off their engagement and separate in early 2004. After other relationships – and marriages – they made their love comeback in 2021.
