The “Belmondo of the East” is redeemed: RTL has rescued actor Winfried Glatzeder (“Paul and Paula”) from the summer jungle camp. In the episode of “I’m a Star – Showdown of the Jungle Legends” released on RTL+ on Thursday, Sonja Zietlow surprised the camp senior in the morning with the words: “We would like to thank you very much. You are a star – get yourself out of here!”
At 79, the oldest German jungle camper of all time was nominated as a “non-legend” by the other stars and starlets – in a mixture of friendly gesture and pity. The majority would have preferred to throw Giulia Siegel out, but in the end they helped Glatzeder get a ticket to civilization. The actor reacted with great joy. RTL had raised doubts as to whether the broadcaster would actually put the nomination into action or let the former Defa star continue to languish in the jungle.
“It was an adventure,” said the character actor. “It really was an adventure. And you have to be crazy. I can only warn anyone not to repeat this adventure. It’s hard. It’s hard work. It’s really hard work.”
Giulia Siegel’s secret

Stehfest had accused his best friend in the camp of lacking respect for his age and for Glatzeder and nominated him for elimination for educational reasons.
The shocking view of the deep canyon and the fairly successful result of six stars led to a reconciliation that would have been worthy of a “Bravo” love story. Gigi: “Did your heart do breakdancing too?” Eric: “My heart was pounding because I knew you were on the other side. Like on Herzblatt.” Gigi: “Now you’re really sweet again. I like you.” Eric: “Sorry for calling you a sucker.”
And what else happened? Georgina Fleur never cooks with tap water at home for fear of germs, only from a bottle. Stehfest sometimes struggles with paranoia when people look at him strangely. Model Sarah Knappik almost moved out of her home voluntarily during a minor nervous breakdown because Giulia Siegel accused her of Stasi attitudes.
And Glatzeder, who probably had the most general knowledge and life experience in the camp, unsettled those around him with the sentence: “Beans not only cause flatulence, but also a change in the hormone levels in the body.” That could explain some of what happens in this camp.
