Guitarists need their fingers, models need their legs: sometimes it is physical characteristics that determine success in a career. This is also the case with star chef Tim Raue.
TV chef Tim Raue (50) has insured his capital – namely his nose and his tongue. “The sense of taste and smell are fundamental to me. And yes: I have insured both,” said the star chef in an interview with the “Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung”. “However, it remains an uncertain field. If something were to happen to me, it would be difficult to prove that the insured event occurred.”
He is not the only one with such insurance for body parts – some star musicians also reportedly have a policy for their guitar-playing hands. Raue, however, has decided not to insure his hands. “I can delegate and don’t have to fillet the turbot myself. In my case, the most important thing is no longer cooking,” said the star chef from Berlin.
