Sur Awards 2024: where to watch the ceremony for the best of national cinema

The awards organized by the Argentine Film Academy will be held this Monday, August 26.

Organized by the Argentine Film Academythe South Awards celebrate the best of cinema and series produced in the country during 2023. The event will be broadcast live from the Politeama theater, with the presence of the nominees and prominent figures in the industry.

TNT, the home of awards, and Max, the streaming platform that brings together unique, high-quality stories, invite you to enjoy the live broadcast of the Premios Sur this Monday, August 26, starting at 9:15 p.m.

What will the coverage of the Sur Awards be like?

Coverage of the Premios Sur on TNT and Max will begin with the Punto de Encuentro pre-show, starting at 9:15 p.m., hosted by film journalist Paz Varales, who will interview the artists and share exclusive details before the start of the gala. At 10:00 p.m., the awards ceremony will begin, hosted by Dalia Gutmann.

Some of the artists who have already confirmed their presence at the Sur Awards gala are Ricardo Darín, Cecilia Roth, Pablo Rago, Carla Peterson, Campi, Julieta Díaz, Leonardo Sbaraglia, Eleonora Wexler, Susú Pecoraro, Alejandra Flechner, Andrea Frigerio, Fini Bocchino, Diego Gentile, Cesar Bordon, Julieta Zylberberg, Santiago Mitre, Soledad Villamil, Eugenia “La China” Suárez, Isabel Macedo, Michel Noher, Antonia Bengoechea, Erica Rivas and Walter Donado, among others.

During the ceremony, A tribute will be paid to Charly Garcíawith the interpretation of some of their most emblematic songs. In addition, there will be a tribute to three significant films of Argentine cinema that this year celebrate a new decade: The Truce (50 years old), Camila (40 years) and Wild Tales (10 years). Also; Ricardo Darin, Carmen Guarini and Adolfo Aristarain will receive the special Honor Award.
