Ramon Roselly: This is what he says about advances from female fans

In an interview, Ramon Roselly talks about love songs, a possible “DSDS” comeback and criticism of the pop music industry.

Ramon Roselly (30) is releasing his fourth studio album, “Süchtig,” on August 23. The title stands for “the longing for feelings of happiness and lightness,” reveals the singer and 2020 “DSDS” winner in an interview with the news agency spot on news. The work is packed with love songs like “Ich will nur dich” and “Ich halt mein Herz für dich bereit.” Roselly’s partner “thinks the songs are beautiful,” the singer continues. “She is one of the first to hear the songs. Of course, that makes me all the happier when she likes them.” And how does he deal with advances from female fans? “It makes me happy when people enjoy me and my music. Then I know I’ve done something right.”

In “Männer tuns immer” Roselly also sings about male quirks and foibles. There are a few clichés “that certainly apply to me too,” says the singer. “For example, I like driving a nice car. I don’t see anything bad about that, but of course I’m also playing into a cliché.”

“DSDS” is a matter of the heart

He describes his musical journey since his “DSDS” triumph four years ago as “very exciting, thrilling and emotional” and says he has “luckily only had good experiences” with the title so far. Roselly enthuses: “I would take part again at any time, it was an unforgettable time!” The singer says he is really pleased that his colleague Beatrice Egli (36) is making a “DSDS” comeback this year as part of the jury. “It’s a nice feeling to come home.” He could imagine this feeling for himself: “Yes, I could imagine coming home too. ‘DSDS’ is my first professional musical experience. Everything I experienced through it is and will remain in my heart.”

Despite all his success, Roselly has not forgotten his roots as a member of a circus family, they even help him: “Growing up in the circus has helped me a lot for the current show business. I already know the limelight and the excitement before the curtain goes up.” After “DSDS” came his debut album “Herzenssache” as well as the albums “Lieblingsmomente” and “Träume leben”, two of which climbed to number two in the German charts. He has thus arrived in the world of pop music and is a welcome guest, for example on Saturday (August 24, 2024, 8:15 p.m., ZDF) on “The Giovanni Zarrella Show – The Big Summer Party”. Roselly says he can understand that some experienced colleagues criticize the developments in the pop music industry and wish for the good old days back. “I understand this criticism, because I would also have liked to have experienced the time when music was more important. Maybe that’s why I get on so well with my older colleagues.”

Despite everything, he is currently focusing on music, explains Roselly, who has also hosted events such as the “Schlagerliebe Open Air”. “It’s my main focus at the moment, so I’m not hosting anything at the moment. Right now it’s all about the new album, which is very close to my heart. But I don’t want to rule out the possibility of hosting something again at some point.”
