Half a year has passed since King Charles saw his youngest son, Prince Harry. The king is said to have sought spiritual advice.
In February 2024, it became public that King Charles was suffering from cancer. Prince Harry, who lives in America, immediately got on a plane to visit his sick father in Great Britain. He appeared for a few hours for an audience with the king, then flew back home.
The two are said to have not seen each other since then, and what is even worse for the monarch is that he is said to have not seen his two grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, for two years, since June 2022. Prince Harry emigrated with his wife, Duchess Meghan, in early 2020. The conflict-laden situation with his youngest son and the non-existent relationship with his grandchildren is said to be taking its toll on the 75-year-old king.
King Charles is said to have spoken to clergy about Prince Harry
Prince Harry has repeatedly clashed with his royal family in recent years. He made strong accusations against them in public. He revealed private disputes and anecdotes in a Netflix documentary and in his memoirs. It is said that the situation is so deadlocked that the sick king has been ignoring his calls since Harry’s visit because he needs peace and wants to protect himself from further conflicts, according to celebrity magazine “People”.
According to the Daily Mail, the monarch has now sought spiritual support to offer him advice and assistance. The king has always publicly stood by his faith and since ascending the throne, he is said to have become even more involved in theology, doctrine and its central theses, including the nature of forgiveness.
It is said that King Charles was now able to draw courage and strength from the spiritual conversations with the clergy and that this made him more open to resolving the conflict and reconciling himself with his youngest son.
