Dagmar Wöhrl remembered her deceased son. On his birthday, she addressed moving lines to him.
Dagmar Wöhrl (70) remembered her deceased son last Monday. On July 1, 2001, the then twelve-year-old Emanuel died in a tragic accident when he fell from the roof of a house. “Today, 37 years ago, you made our happiness, our family complete and made me infinitely proud,” says the entrepreneur and investor in the “Lion’s Den” in her post on her deceased son’s birthday. She continues with a childhood photo of Emanuel: “Today I look at the pictures of you and revel in memories. And even though I want to be strong and celebrate this day with joy, this heavy sadness is coming over me.”
“Happy Birthday, Manuel”
Wöhrl has many questions that she will ask herself “until my last breath” and then hopes to see her son again. “I would love to know what you would look like today. Would you have started a family already? Would you have gone abroad? What career path would you have chosen?” The memories of her son, “your laughter and your lively nature” are “a shining star that makes me shine in dark moments,” writes the 70-year-old. “You have your place in my heart that can never be taken by anyone else.” She ends her post with: “Happy Birthday, Manu! Let us celebrate you in heaven. Love, Mama.”
Emanuel is the result of the marriage (since 1984) of Dagmar Wöhrl with the entrepreneur Hans Rudolf Wöhrl (76). The couple had two sons. Marcus was born in 1985, Emanuel in 1988.
Dagmar Wöhrl has been an investor in the VOX startup show “Die Höhle der Löwen” since 2017. In the startup format, founders look for an investor for their ideas. The 16th season, which also marks the tenth anniversary of the format, will be broadcast from September 2nd.
