This morning, Oasis’ streams on Spotify were up more than 160 percent globally compared to the previous week, and the increase has continued to grow, Variety reports.

Liam Gallagher’s clue about Oasis’ possible return

The oft-feuding brothers seemingly confirmed that a reunion is on the horizon, with both posting a cryptic clip hinting that something will take place tomorrow, August 27 at 8am (UK time). It’s likely an announcement of performance dates, as Liam further fanned the flames in X-rated posts.

“I never liked the word EX,” Liam wrote. When one user complained that Oasis were playing Heaton Park in Manchester because it was a “terrible venue,” Liam replied: “I see you in the front row…”.

Oasis formally disbanded in 2009 after Noel left the band, with each brother pursuing solo careers in the following years. Last April, Oasis were nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which would have led to a reunion had the band been inducted, but Liam quickly ruled out that possibility.

Last June, Liam went on tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ debut, “Definitely Maybe,” with a reissue scheduled for release this Friday.
