Tori Spelling and ex-partner Brian Austin Green have not spoken to each other for 18 years. The reason for this was their relationships at the time.
There has been radio silence for 18 years between “Beverly Hills, 90210” stars Tori Spelling (51) and Brian Austin Green (51) because of their ex-partners. Like her former partner Green, Spelling also made no effort to maintain her friendship. Their last conversation felt “like going through a divorce,” the actress recalled.
Green contacted his ex-girlfriend in vain
“I remember crying at the thought of us losing touch because we were so close,” she said. Nevertheless, despite Green’s efforts, they lost contact. “I remember driving to Vincent’s house several days after filming wrapped to see you and really trying to keep the connection going,” he explained. Spelling, who was dating her co-star Vincent Young (59) at the time, did not return the interest.
As he recalled, she didn’t even greet him a few years later at a celebration to release DVDs of the series. At the time, she was married to Dean McDermott (57), while he and Megan Fox (38) were a couple. “I kept missing you and then you were just gone,” he shared his perspective. After repeatedly contacting his ex-girlfriend, he gave up. “It was really like, ‘She just doesn’t want to be friends with me.’ I really felt that way,” he revealed his feelings.
Their ex-partners played a role
Spelling then explained that her “complicated relationship” with McDermott was a factor. She backed off because she knew he was “not a fan” of the relationship. “You had a good professional relationship with Vincent, but I don’t think you felt that our personal relationship was something that was right for me,” she added. She avoided people like him who would stand up for her.
Spelling, on the other hand, was not enthusiastic about his relationship with Vanessa Marcil (55), who was also part of the series. It was “frustrating” to “see what’s going on and see how your friend is being treated and not agree with it.” At the same time, she couldn’t say anything “because the person has to make their own experiences and go their own way.”
In the meantime, Spelling and Green have become friends again. A lot has also changed in love matters since then: Green found happiness in Australian dancer Sharna Burgess (39). They announced their engagement in June 2023. Tori Spelling filed for divorce from McDermott at the end of March.
