Jennifer Lopez may have distanced herself from ex-husband Ben Affleck with her enormous workload, an insider report suggests.
Since Jennifer Lopez (55) filed for divorce from husband Ben Affleck (52) on August 20, fans and observers have been speculating about the reasons for the celebrity split. After reports that the couple’s relationship had already cooled during their honeymoon, J.Lo’s immense workload during their relationship is now coming into focus. The singer and actress was busy with a total of eight film projects during this period.
Workhorse Jennifer Lopez
People magazine lists J.Lo’s numerous films during her marriage. As early as 2022 – Affleck and Lopez married in July this year in Las Vegas and again in August in Georgia – Lopez was busy promoting her already completed films “Marry Me” and “Shotgun Wedding”.
Also in 2022, filming took place on the Netflix actioner “The Mother,” in which Lopez plays the lead role. Later that year, she was in front of the camera for another Netflix film, “Atlas.” But even more work hours and attention, according to the “People” report, went into J.Lo’s very personal projects “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story” – a companion musical to her ninth album “This Is Me… Now” – and the documentary “The Greatest Love Story Never Told” about the production of her album and the aforementioned musical.
Two films for Ben Affleck’s production company
And that’s not all. Lopez also appeared in the films “Unstoppable” and “Kiss of the Spider Woman.” What’s special about this is that the works are produced by Artists Equity, the production company that Affleck shares with his long-time friend and acting partner Matt Damon (53).
The titles mentioned above only describe the film side of Lopez’s work in recent years. In addition, she recorded and promoted her aforementioned album “This Is Me… Now”, planned a tour that she canceled for the sake of her family, was busy with her own corporate projects, traveled to fashion shows in Paris, Met Gala events, to Dubai and repeatedly to Europe.
It is likely that Ben Affleck had fewer commitments during the period in question. In addition to his work as founder of the film production company Artists Equity, he only appeared in front of the camera for the successful film sequel “The Accountant 2”.
Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce in Los Angeles on August 20. She gave April 26, 2024 as the date of separation. Affleck and Lopez originally met in the early 2000s. They became one of Hollywood’s dream couples at the time and were given the couple nickname “Bennifer”. However, the media hype, among other things, is said to have caused them to break off their engagement and separate in early 2004. After other relationships – and marriages – they made their love comeback in 2021.
