He even picked up his children from the hospital with the truck.

Now it’s time for a smaller car: “It’s tiny. It’s a hybrid. It’ll probably cost me about $10 in gas a month,” says Hammer. He is hopeful: “For a new beginning. Tomorrow is my birthday. On August 28th, I’ll start my birthday in a new car, in a new apartment, in a new life in Los Angeles.”
