Michael Madsen can breathe a sigh of relief. About a week after his arrest for domestic violence, the case has now been dropped.
The case against “Kill Bill” star Michael Madsen (66) for alleged domestic violence has been dropped due to a lack of evidence. The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office told “TMZ”.
“We are glad that Michael Madsen can put this matter behind him and look forward to continuing to work with this veteran and respected actor,” his spokesperson is quoted as saying by the gossip site.
He is said to have pushed his wife
On August 19, among other things, reported that Madsen was arrested and taken into custody by police in Malibu over the weekend. The actor was accused of pushing his wife DeAnna Madsen (64). “This was a disagreement between Michael and his wife, which we hope will end positively for both,” said a spokesman. After paying bail of $20,000, Madsen was released.
Not the first incident with the police
The incident was not the first encounter with the police for the actor, best known from Quentin Tarantino’s films. In February 2022, Madsen was arrested for allegedly trespassing on someone else’s property. Officers escorted him in handcuffs from his Malibu home for trespassing.
In 2019, Michael Madsen spent four days in jail after causing an accident while drunk. He was sentenced to five years’ probation. He was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in 2012. He had to complete a 30-day rehabilitation program.
The actor has been married to his third wife DeAnne Madsen since 1996. The couple have three sons, one of whom died in January 2022 at the age of 26.
