Day 16 in the summer jungle camp in South Africa: Six people are still there, too many for the final. The composition of the group that is still fighting for the jungle crown surprises many: Many of the warhorses have long since been eliminated – ex-footballer Thorsten Legat (55, battle cry “Kasalla”) and “Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten” actor Eric Stehfest (35). Even the tough reality woman Elena Miras (32) – all history.

When he puts his head on her shoulder and she asks him “Do you have motherly feelings for me? Be honest”, Gigi answers: “Other feelings”. She: “What kind?” He: “Sexy feelings”. She: “Are you crazy?”. In any case, Gigi admires the fact that she sometimes looks like “Michael Jackson” with her “tiny, tiny nose”. What does Kader think of him? That he farts a lot.
Who gets kicked out?
Danni Büchner doesn’t make it to the final. She is eliminated in a test of courage against Gigi and Georgina. They have to stand – secured, of course – on narrow planks high above a lake and answer questions. If they give a wrong answer, the plank tilts further and further – and Danni ends up losing her footing.
Gigi secures a direct ticket to the final in another duel against Georgina on the planks. Georgina at least remains in the race. On the final day, two candidates will be eliminated before the last three remaining – including Gigi – fight the final battles.
The current “I’m a Celebrity” season is a special edition for the 20th anniversary of the show, which was first broadcast in 2004. This time, many things are different: RTL is not showing the season at the beginning of the year, but in the summer. The setting is not Australia, but South Africa. The show is not broadcast live, but was recorded.
And it is a kind of reunion for former cast members: the “legends”, as RTL calls them, were already in the camping light in previous seasons.
