Selena Gomez was very approachable in Telluride and paid a visit to a high school volleyball team.
Selena Gomez (32) made a surprise visit to a volleyball team during a promotional tour in Colorado for her film “Emilia Pérez” at the weekend. The team had asked the singer and actress with a bright orange sign to sing the national anthem at one of their games.
Selena Gomez “couldn’t help it”
“You asked! I couldn’t help it, it’s my first time in Telluride!” the 32-year-old posted on her Instagram page on September 1st.
The actress from “Only Murders in the Building” posted several pictures and a video clip of her visit. In it, she can be seen entering the gym and surprising the young athletes on the field. They couldn’t believe that the star had actually accepted their invitation. “I saw the sign and that’s why I had to come,” Gomez explained to those present. She then posed for photos and signed autographs.
Guest at the Telluride Film Festival
Gomez was a guest at the Telluride Film Festival this weekend at a screening of Jacques Audiard’s new film “Emilia Pérez,” in which she plays the lead role alongside Zoe Saldaña (46). The film, which is due to be released in November, was shot in Spanish and dubbed as a comedy, drama and musical.
“The most genuinely kind heart,” Zoe Saldaña commented on her colleague’s post. Gomez’s boyfriend, record producer Benny Blanco (36), sent three heart emojis. The two confirmed their relationship in December 2023. Recently, rumors of a possible engagement arose after the actress and singer was seen with a gold ring on her finger. In May, Blanco said that he wanted to start a family with Gomez and that they even talked about it “every day.”
