Thomas Gottschalk and his Karina got married at the weekend. Numerous celebrities congratulated the couple on Instagram.
Presenter Thomas Gottschalk (74) and his partner Karina Mroß (62) surprised everyone with their secret wedding in a small circle on Ibiza at the weekend. The presenter had shared with his followers on Instagram that the two had become engaged in June, but hardly anyone expected it to happen so quickly.
The engagement post was in typical Gottschalk style: “Maybe you’ve already read it: I’m engaged! But I forgot my engagement ring in the hotel safe and had to quickly make one out of candy wrappers. Remember: never leave the house without Wehrter’s Echte!”

Quite different, however, are the unusually romantic and emotional lines,
“Although I still consider this event to be a very personal experience, I am taking you with me to my wedding with Karina in Ibiza. I may still have to learn to share my innermost feelings with you, and this is certainly a good moment for that,” the entertainer began his message.
Then he wrote: “You know my showmaster face, but Karina looked into my heart. That’s why we are now a couple forever! Forever!” He concluded his post with a kind of request to his over 100,000 followers: “We decided not to have witnesses. You look after us! OK?”
That and the two photo galleries with wedding photos that the former “Wetten, dass..?” presenter shared with the same message touched an incredible number of people. Hardly any of the entertainer’s previous posts come close to the 25,900 likes for the first and currently 13,600 likes for the second wedding photo post – apart from perhaps the photo with his grandson in June 2023 with 28,000 likes.

Numerous celebrities were also not left unmoved by the two posts, they congratulated with likes, red hearts, good wishes and sometimes even personal messages.
“Congratulations and all the best to you both!” commented tennis legend Boris Becker (56). Moderator colleague Birgit Schrowange (66) wrote: “From the bottom of my heart, all the best for your future together.” Musician Sasha (52) was also happy for the wedding couple: “Beautiful! Congratulations, my love.” Singer Thomas Anders wrote: Congratulations from Claudia and me and lots of luck to you both!”
Social media star Riccardo Simonetti (31), who had also just gotten married, left “Congratulations” and a bouquet of flowers. “Goodbye Germany” star Chris Töpperwien (50) commented: “Thomas Gottschalk, that is WONDERFUL news! People always have two faces! You’ve never been so ‘close’ to us! And THAT is what makes you unique! All the best to you both!”
