In Venice, George Clooney not only impresses with his sheer presence. He also proves his qualities as a first responder and photographer.
His time as the charming doctor Dr. Ross in “ER” may be a long time ago. But George Clooney (63) seems to have retained his first aid reflex from the set of the hospital series to this day. This became abundantly clear on Sunday evening (September 1) at the current Venice International Film Festival.
Clooney was walking the red carpet at the premiere of his new film “Wolfs” with his wife Amal (46) and co-star Brad Pitt (60) when one of the numerous photographers fell to the ground in front of his eyes. But it didn’t take long before an Oscar-winning hand helped the man back on his feet.
Amal is also worried
Footage of the incident shows how Clooney immediately crouched down and came to the photographer’s aid. Amal Clooney also briefly supported the man on the shoulder and apparently asked if he was OK. According to the video footage, the unlucky man did not sustain any injuries and was instead able to snap photos of the Hollywood dream couple from close up.
Speaking of which: Clooney, who was in a great mood, also tried his hand at being a photographer and stole a surprised woman’s camera to take a few snapshots. After just a few seconds, however, he apparently realized that he looked much better in front of the lens than behind it and handed the camera over to its owner.
Pitt delivers premiere at the premiere
Clooney’s congenial co-star in the action comedy “Wolfs” was also in a good mood. For Brad Pitt, it was a double premiere: He appeared on the red carpet in Venice for the first time with his girlfriend Ines de Ramon (31). Quite astonishing, after all, the two have reportedly been a couple for around two years. In order to photograph Pitt and de Ramon from the best angles, some photographers even voluntarily sat down on their bottoms in front of them.
