In 2025, Cher will celebrate the 60th anniversary of her music career. The iconic singer could garnish this with a very special performance.
The legendary Glastonbury Festival in Great Britain could offer another musical highlight next year. Cher (78) is said to be currently negotiating her participation.
Will she follow Shania Twain as a legend?
According to “The Sun”, the American is in talks with the organizers of the festival in Somerset, which takes place at the end of June. The British newspaper quoted a source as saying: “It’s been a long time coming, but she is finally in serious talks with Glastonbury about her appearance as a singer in the legends slot.” This year, Shania Twain (59) was seen in the frame.
“Everything is still in the planning phase, but Cher hopes to play some concerts in the UK next year, and Glastonbury could be one of them.” The “Believe” singer, however, no longer wants to do a big tour.
Last year, Cher had already stressed on Radio 2 that she could imagine performing at Glastonbury: “I would love to,” she said in an interview. She last toured the UK in 2019.
